Is It Too Late To Prevent Global Warming?

Global Warming has more recently been raised as an issue, and has led to the goverments focusing more on the impacts of new legislations. My question is a simple, yet unanswerable one; is it too late? Should we still be worried about the impacts of aerosol on the environment, or should we just forget about it and live free? I personally think that we shouldn't let the threat of global warming control our actions completely, but that we should take it into consideration when thinking about doing something... Now there's some food for thought...
